Life in the 16th century

If I had lived in the 16th century life would be very different to our life today.

Dear Diary,
today I woke up and I was in an different world. I was in a dirty room with a small bed with a desk and a chair. Nobody was in there. When I went through the door I came in a room where lots of people were sitting on a table. They were looking at me. An old woman asked me why I got up so late? was it because you had to milk the cows? She said. I was really confused so she comanded me to eat my breakfast and then go to my work.It was uneatable dry, grey bread.After I ate this the woman told me to wash the dirty clothes in the river, so I went outside with a basket of clothes. There I saw the village. Very nice but also dirty and people with animals everywhere. On the fields there were men with steers loosing the arable soil.Most of the people were doing some agriculture. I saw the old houses and the nice landscape.When I reached the river and started to wash the clothes I knew that this is going to be hard work.
